Especially for inexperienced swimmers, it is ideal as it provides additional buoyancy and helps prevent the dog from tiring too quickly. Older animals or dog breeds with less physical strength also benefit from the stabilizing effect of the vest. For insecure dogs, it can also serve as a confidence booster, helping them feel more secure and making swimming a positive experience. Additionally, the swim vest can provide extra support during targeted water training following injuries or surgeries.

The integrated grab handle offers a safe and easy way to lift your dog out of the water in an emergency. For added security, a leash can be attached to the practical D-ring on the back — especially recommended in combination with the watchout swim leash. For optimal attachment, first hook the carabiner into the D-ring, then guide the leash through the grab handle. Thanks to the Velcro fastener, the grab handle can be easily opened, allowing you to place the leash inside and securely close it again. This guides the leash along the back, helping to prevent tangling.

Usage Instructions:

Always supervise your dog in the water and allow them to gradually get used to the jacket – short practice sessions in shallow water can help. The integrated handle is designed to assist in lifting your dog out of the water but should not be used as a carrying handle.

Important: The life jacket does not replace constant supervision – always keep an eye on your dog near and in the water, especially in moving water or stronger currents. Use a leash for additional security if needed – for example, the watchout swimming leash. After use, rinse the life jacket thoroughly with clean water and hang it up to dry.
